I'm a BAD mom...

I am USUALLY a picture taking MACHINE...
I love to CAPTURE my 2 year old doing things she is LEARNING on a daily basis...
(This includes videoing it!)
So you can IMAGINE how DISGUSTED I am with MYSELF
when I looked in my PHOTO FILE and to my dismay there are
3 PICS
logged under February...
(with about 3 more on my camera to download)
If you add that + the fact its already the 24th of February that means a BIG FAT
!FAIL!
I have FOUR days to catch up to my average of about 200 photos a month...
We are starting today by going to Dad's intrasquad game!

Be mine...Valentine!

Valentine's Day this year was SUPER low key for the Butlers...

We wanted to take daddy a Valentine's surprise so we went to Walmart and Kenley picked a stuffed frog, a small box of chocolates and a HUGE balloon that said "Te Amo" LOL!
Along with our v-day cards we took them over to the stadium and had the clubby go put the gifts in Billy's locker! He was pretty surprised!

Billy had to spend most of the day at the complex yesterday for his workouts and then they had to record ALL of the video they will be using for the big scoreboard in KC this year! So, he didn't get home until late! Kenley and I had a movie party...We watched Anastasia and had popcorn! When daddy got home he took us for some ice cream at Coldstone! (I'm getting a little sick of ice cream but Kenley LOVES it more then anything!)

Here is Kenley all DOLLED up for LOVE day!

Hope your VDAY was great!!

Celebrating 25 years!

Yesterday was my 25th birthday!!! This is emotionally draining birthday for me because it has some positives and negatives...On the bad side I am on the downside of my 20's heading towards 30! Yikes! On a positive note I can rent a car without being charged ridiculous fees for being a young driver AND my car insurance should take a BIG drop! YAY!

My family made it extra special for me! After Billy got home from baseball we had to go meet one of Billy's agents for lunch to take care of some business. Come to find out it was his birthday too... We got to meet at my favorite place to eat...
It was YUMMY as usual!
While Billy took care of business Kenley and I walked around outside looking at the fountains and pools around the Cardinal stadium...we lounged outside watching birds and people! It was a beautiful day!
It wouldn't be normal if Kenley didn't spot the ice cream shop. This kid is an ice cream eating machine! SHE LOVES IT!
So, we celebrated my birthday at Coldstone!
I had a kiddie scoop of Cheesecake, Raspberries, Graham Crackers (Raspberry Cheesecake)
Kenley had some Birthday cake remix
Billy had a whole concoction of things! I don't even know what was all in there!

We headed home and put Kenley down for a nap and Billy surprised me and booked me a massage for 90 minutes!

I repeat 90 minutes of PURE BLISS! I would rather get a massage then go shopping or get my nails done or pretty much do anything else! It was HEAVEN!

After I got home I hurried and got cleaned up and we got a babysitter and headed over to eat at Abuelos...

They have great food and we sat in the bar because besides it being my birthday it was also the...
UNC vs. DUKE basketball game!
Billy was a good sport to still take me out for my birthday even though his precious tar-heels were playing! So I compromised and we sat in the bar so he could watch!
He didn't get to watch to much of the game because we had tickets to the theatre across the street to go see...
It was a REALLY funny movie!
So overall it was a great birthday!

SIDE NOTE: Thanks to all my friends and family that sent so many well wishes via Facebook, text, phone calls! I appreciate the LOVE and the feeling is mutual!

January Recap....

I haven't blogged in a few weeks due to an EXTREMELY hectic end of January! So, I am promising myself to slow down and enjoy February!

 Let's RECAP January
Once the holidays were over I was able to get all of my Christmas decorations put away.
I began packing for SPRING TRAINING.
The first week of Jan Billy and my dad flew to San Diego to play in a MLB players union golf tournament. They get to play a few rounds of golf...enjoy some nice weather and some bonding time!

The second week of January we celebrated my brother's birthday by throwing him a surprise bday party at Leo's Pizza place! It was a casino theme and a total success!
*Still packing through ALL of this*

3rd week of January
Billy and I made a long weekend trip to KC for Royals Fanfest! Kenley got to stay at home with Billy's parents because we had so much business to take care of in the short amount of time in Kansas City! We had some exciting things happen while we were there and lots of FUN!

Here are some pics from Fanfest!

Billy and a young fan!

I thought this was cute! A girl can wear her tutu and play ball too!

The guys played pickup whiffle ball games with the kids!

Lots of autograph sessions!
My new fav ROOKIE Mike...

This is the phone a friend...I didn't get a pic of Billy doing it but people would walk up and hand you their phones and you would have to talk to their dads, brothers, friends...Pretty funny!

I got the biggest kick out of seeing TONS of BUTLER jersey's all over fanfest! I love it when the kids wear them! These are 3 different little boys that wanted to HIT like Billy!

They did the awards banquet during fanfest this year! Billy received the Les Milgram Player of the year award for the second year in a row! Super proud of him!

We got some big news while we were in Kansas City!
The ROYALS signed Billy to a 4 year extension with an option for a 5th year!
Soooo....It looks like we will be in KC for the next 4-5 years!
WE ARE SO EXCITED!

Every year during fanfest we attend the Challenge your Fashion event.
A former Royals player and friend of ours started the charity to help build a complex of fields (baseball, flag football, soccer ect) for kids that have disabilities that participate in the Challenger program!

This last year a current player and another friend of ours joined the cause so we def make sure we help out every year! It has gotten bigger and bigger every year and they even have a fashion show that the players/coaches and their wives "model" in! Then they have a silent auction ending with a live auction! It is a great success every year and we look forward to doing it!

Here is Billy with the co-chairs and one of the athletes
(Luke Hochevar & Mark Teahen)

(Chris Getz, Lucas May, Bruce Chen)

Bad pic of us at the end of the night!
We were SO tired!

The next day I flew home but Billy had to stay a couple extra days to do the Royals Caravan! They ride around to different towns outside of Kansas City and do autograph sessions and visit with kids! Pretty cool! He stayed one extra day longer to do his press conference with the Royals about his new contract!

Once he got home we only had 3 days to get everything finished and packed up before we made the drive to Arizona! We said our goodbyes and took one last look at our home and hit the road for a 2 day trip to Phoenix! The first day we made it to St. George, UT and spend the evening with our good friends Mike and Jessy Aviles! We enjoyed a great dinner out and spent the night watching a movie! It was so fun to see Jessy literally DAYS before she delivered her twin girls!

We headed out the next day to AZ and made it in that night! We unpacked and went grocery shopping and got everything set up in time for my mom to fly in 2 days later with Kenley on the 31st! That is our recap of our busy January and I PROMISE to be better about posting in Feb!
