Christmas Eve!

The Butler Family had a lot of events going on Christmas Eve! I was in charge of hosting a EASY Christmas Even dinner so all the step-siblings could get together in case we couldn't get our schedules to match up Christmas day! I had so much to do so my sister, Courtney, came and picked up Kenley and headed out to the Sand Dunes for a day of sledding with our family friends the Johnsons and Palmers! I sent her with my camera to get some shots of the fun!

When Kenley got home I was working on cooking dinner so 

she sat down for some Chocolate Milk, Cookies and some good Christmas movies! 

We tried to keep dinner fairly simple since we have all been eating HUGE amounts of Christmas foods and I was cooking a BIG Christmas morning breakfast so we had homemade Broccoli and Cheese soup with bread bowls, salad, Jello (Thanks Nanette) and for dessert we had a cookie station where you could frost/decorate your own sugar cookies and take a plate of them home to leave for Santa!

Before we ring in the new year...lets finish covering this one!

These last few days have been chaotic but FUN! I wanted to get a few things posted about what we did the few days before Christmas before I post about the big day! 

On the 20th we were invited to see a live Nativity Scene that some good family friends of ours put on every year in Ririe at Christmas time. We dressed up warm (it's held in their barn next to their house) and headed out that way!

All the kids did such a good job! Kenley could have cared less about Mary and baby Jesus. She was all about the donkey that Mary rode in on! She was yelling "Donkey...Donkey...There he is!!!" through the entire performance! It was really cute! 

After the show we drove a few miles up the road to enjoy our favorite burger joint...BIG JUD'S! 

It is a hole in the wall burger place smack in the middle of nowhere...BUT it the home of the BIG JUD (See Below)

We weren't brave enough to try and make it on the hall of fame wall be eating one of these but Billy did enjoy a nice YAK burger! 

21st

I had made up some yummy batches of Christmas cookies and packaged them all really nice! 

We drove around to our neighbors and Billy and Kenley took them to the door! She thought she was SO big! 

22nd

I had the chance to go to my niece's, Harper Yagues, baby blessing. Her uncle Derek did such a good job and she is such a sweet baby! I look TERRIBLE in this pic but it was the only one I got before I had to leave! 

On the 23rd we spent the day getting ready for Christmas!

This is INSANITY!

I recently decided that I am going to do more then just going to the gym and getting my cardio in!! So, while I was feeling SUPER motivated one night I ordered this....

basically its my worst nightmare in a BOX! 

I am one week into the workouts and for lack of a better word it is INSANE! We turned our theatre room into a workout area (moved the comfy love sacs) and I have been getting up every morning at 6:45 to do this! It usually ends with me on the floor dripping with sweat and begging for someone to kill me! I've tried Zumba (I'm not coordinated enough) I can't do aerobics (I'm not bouncy enough) and Yoga to me is like a cardio nap!  This is the closest thing I have found to a sports training program! We are talking 3-point shot jumping, football quick feet and boxing in 40 mins! 

I LOVE IT but I HATE IT! 

Bonus: I get to look at him (or his abs) on a 110 inch screen while he's yelling at me!

Shout out to my hubby because he has been getting up and doing it with me and then two hours later heading over to the gym to face this guy:

Brandon doesn't look so scary in this pic...he actually is a nice guy but for that 60 minutes he OWNS you the best I can compare it to would be HUMAN TORTURE! Billy endures him 4 days a week and then joins me for my workout 6 days a week!

Back to School!

This last week Billy had the chance to speak to a 3rd grade class at a local elementary school here in Idaho Falls! I get the biggest kick out of 8 & 9 year olds! They did such a good job from welcoming us at the front office and the entire class wearing Royals blue to serving us a gourmet lunch of hot dogs and crackerjacks! While everyone dined on their food Billy talked about how he started in baseball and how important your studies are along with your training! He got to tell some favorite stories from little leagues up to the big leagues! 

They had a Q & A session and they had prepared some really great questions to ask! They even made their own version of Billy's baseball card! 

Kenley had a blast hanging out with the BIG kids and I think she is ready to start school NOW! They kids got a good laugh out of her trying to copy whatever they would say to her! 

It was such a fun experience and a big THANKS goes out to David and McKenzie Guymon for inviting us!

Kenley's 2nd Birthday: Round 2

After our big trip to Utah we made it back to Idaho in time to grab a shower and a nap and then it was off to celebrate birthday party #2 for Kenley! After our BIG bash last year I decided to keep it simple this year. All we needed this year was some family, pizza, cake, presents and play area and Kenley was in heaven! So, we partied it up at  Leo's Place (Idaho Falls's version of a Chucky Cheese) Check out the pics below:
