So, I thought I would post about our very first anniversary! It is so crazy to me how fast this year has gone by...In a nutshell this is what we have accomplished...got married, moved to Phoenix, got pregnant, moved to Kansas City, got a puppy, started building a house, found out I was pregnant, got sent to Triple A, moved back to Idaho Falls, got called back up to big leagues, got a job at the Apple, coached volleyball at Skyline and finished up another long baseball season!! That is what I mean by Whew...we made it! It has all been such a fun trip though and I can't imagine spending it with anyone else!
Billy was such a good guy and took it upon himself to plan our anniversary celebration! I welcomed this because it just seemed a little overwhelming to think about when I have "baby" on my mind! Most of you know we were married in a beautiful wedding last year in Jackson Hole, WY on top of a mountain looking out over the Grand Tetons! It was a dream wedding come true! Instead of going back to where we were married Billy wanted to try someplace new so on Saturday the 8th he and I packed a weekend bag and headed up to Jackson! He made reservations at The Teton Lodge and Spa and it was beautiful! Right at the base of the Teton Village Ski Resort! It was so nice because it is the off-season in-between hiking/hunting and winter ski season! The hotel was practically empty!
After we checked in we headed up to our room to drop our bags off before he took me to an amazing steak dinner at the Historic Wort Hotel. When we got in there there were chocolates, beautiful flowers and sparkling cider!!

We ended up having dinner with my mom, stepdad and a few of their friends because they were in Jackson the same night loading cattle! It was fun to be able to catch up with everyone!
The next day was really fun because Billy knowing how much I LOVE massages and how sore my back had been almost 9 month pregnant he arranged for me to go to the spa at the hotel! It was so relaxing! I got an awesome pregnancy massage and I never wanted to get up off the table! After I was done we got cleaned up and headed into town and ate at my FAVORITE lunch place The Bunnery! Then we walked around Jackson for a while checking out all the shops and galleries! We had a simple dinner that night at a BBQ restraunt out by Teton Village before we ducked into our room early and rented a movie on the TV!
I decided I was going to give Billy a necklace for our anniversary! Since we had me he had always worn a gold chain with his baseball # on it and last season it broke (Probably from wearing it for so many years!) So, this year I decided to get him a new upgraded version with his #16 on it and then on the back I had engraved "Love, Katie and Kenley"! He loved it and it is his new good luck charm!

He actually surprised me and gave me a beautiful watch! He called in an anniversary/"Push Present" and thought it would come in handy when it came time to keep track of Kenley's feedings and naps and everything! He had it engraved on the back and it says "To Mommy...From Daddy and Kenley... We Love You!" I can't believe he did such a good job and I give him props for planning this entire weekend himself!!! I really love this guy!
